Vastoco enforces a rigorous 5-level verification system to protect professional titles under Indian law and guarantee authentic credentials to clients.
1. Architects Act 1972 (Section 36) Legal Alignment
Under Section 36 of the Architects Act, 1972 (India), using the title 'Architect' or claiming architectural practice without registration with the Council of Architecture (COA) is a punishable offense. Vastoco enforces strict title protection:
- COA Registered Architect: Granted exclusively to practitioners with verified CA registration numbers.
- Graduate Spatial / Interior Designer: Applied to design graduates and spatial specialists without active COA registration.
- Turnkey Contractor / Builder: Applied to construction and execution practices.
2. The 5-Level Verification Pipeline (L0–L5)
Verification badges are awarded systematically:
- Level 0 (Basic): Email & WhatsApp OTP verification.
- Level 1 (Identity): Aadhaar / PAN Government ID verification.
- Level 2 (Academic): B.Arch, M.Arch, Diploma degree marksheet verification.
- Level 3 (COA License): Council of Architecture license cross-referencing (COA Verified Badge).
- Level 4 (Studio & GST): GSTIN, Business PAN & firm registration verification.
- Level 5 (Trusted Pro): System audit badge for 10+ completed jobs, >90% response rate, and 4.8+ ratings.
