1. Platform Nature & Intermediary Status

Vastoco ('Vastoco.in', 'we', 'us', 'our') is an intermediary technology platform operating under Section 79 of India's Information Technology Act, 2000. Vastoco provides software, discovery, verification matching, and collaboration infrastructure. Vastoco is not an architecture firm, structural engineering practice, interior design studio, or general contractor. We do not directly execute building projects or enter into design-build contracts on behalf of users.

• Contracts for design or construction are executed directly between the Client and the Professional.
• Vastoco is not a party to, nor guarantor of, project contracts or fee settlements between users.
• We do not mandate price controls or interfere with direct fee negotiations.

2. User Eligibility & Account Responsibilities

You must be at least 18 years of age and legally competent to enter into binding contracts under the Indian Contract Act, 1872. You agree to provide true, accurate, and current information during registration.

• You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• Creating fraudulent accounts, impersonating licensed professionals, or utilizing bots is strictly prohibited.
• Account transfers or sales are invalid without prior written consent from Vastoco.

3. Professional Credentials & Title Protection

In compliance with Section 36 of the Architects Act, 1972 (India), the title 'Architect' is strictly reserved for individuals possessing a valid Council of Architecture (COA) registration number. Practitioners without COA registration must list under alternative valid designations (e.g., Interior Designer, Spatial Designer, Turnkey Contractor).

• Misrepresenting COA registration constitutes grounds for immediate account termination and legal reporting.
• Verification badges (COA Verified, GST Verified) are granted upon authentic document review.

4. Platform Subscriptions & 0% Project Commission

Vastoco operates on a subscription software model. We charge 0% commission on direct client consultation fees and project contracts signed between clients and professionals.

• Subscription fees for Pro Growth or Studio tiers are non-refundable once billed.
• Consultation booking deposits or micro-task payouts processed via Razorpay are governed by our Refund Policy.

5. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

Vastoco is provided on an 'AS IS' and 'AS AVAILABLE' basis. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Vastoco disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular architectural or structural purpose.

• Vastoco shall not be liable for structural defects, project delays, or financial disputes between clients and practitioners.
• Total aggregate liability of Vastoco for any claim shall not exceed the subscription fees paid by you in the preceding 6 months.

6. Suspension & Termination

Vastoco may suspend or terminate your account for violating these Terms, the Community Guidelines, or Professional Guidelines — including fraudulent verification documents, fake reviews, or repeated client complaints.

• You will be notified of the reason for suspension by email wherever possible, except in cases of fraud or safety risk.
• You may close your own account at any time from Account Settings; this does not cancel active paid subscriptions automatically — cancel those separately from Billing.
• You may appeal a suspension by writing to legal@vastoco.in with supporting evidence.

7. Changes to These Terms

Vastoco may update these Terms as the platform evolves. Material changes (e.g. new fees, changed liability terms) will be notified by email or an in-app banner at least 7 days before taking effect. Continued use of Vastoco after that date means you accept the revised Terms.

8. Governing Law & Dispute Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any legal action or proceeding arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in New Delhi, India.
